Evigan is better known for his operate inside both television hits: 1979's B.J. and the Bear, where he starred as B.J., a truck driver whose best friend was a chimpanzee named Bear, and 1987's My Two Dads. Our 2 Daddy lasted until 1990.

It was by owning B.J. & a Bear (which actually began inside 1978 when a made for television picture show) that Evigan reached popular star status, & he began getting handle from either such magazines as Tiger Beat, Teen Beat and many more magazines geared towards teenaged girls.
